Dismantling work of 250- and 150-meter-high chimneys in Elektrėnai complex
Demolition of the unused 250- and 150-meter-high chimneys of the Lithuanian power plant is underway.
This project is unique in the history of Vilniaus BDT work as well as in the region, as the dismantling of structures of this height has not been carried out in Lithuania or the Baltic States yet. According to the prepared plan of dismantling work, first the inner layer of bricks was dismantled, then the outer layer of reinforced concrete. Dismantling work is carried out by a special device that crushes the chimney structures and that is remotely controlled by a nearby standing operator.
The customer is Ignitis gamyba, UAB.
